Axis Bank Burgundy Debit Card Updated Benefits Explained

Axis Bank has announced new updates for its premium Burgundy Debit Card. These revised features will be active from 25 December 2025. Domestic Airport Lounge Access Updated

Axis Bank has changed the structure of domestic lounge access for Burgundy customers. The goal is to make the benefit easier to use and more transparent.

Key Update

Cardholders will get three complimentary domestic lounge visits every quarter. The bank has also added one guest visit every quarter. This is helpful for families and business travellers who travel frequently.

Minimum Spend Requirement

Cardholders must spend a minimum of five thousand rupees in the previous three months to unlock lounge access. Only billed transactions will be considered.

Special Relaxation for New Cards

The spend requirement will not apply to new Burgundy Debit Cards during the initial period. If a card is issued on 12 September 2025, the customer can enjoy free lounge access without spending conditions till 31 December 2025. International Lounge Access Revised

The international lounge benefit has been updated with a clearer annual structure.

Key Update

Cardholders will receive four complimentary international lounge visits every year. This applies to the cardholder and accompanying guests at select lounges outside India. The cardholder must be present to use a guest visit.

Important Note for NRE and NRO Cards

Due to RBI rules, NRO Debit Cards cannot perform international transactions. Because of this, NRO Burgundy Debit Cards cannot use the international lounge benefit. NRE Burgundy Debit Cards will continue to receive all global lounge privileges.

Updated Movie and Event Offers

Axis Bank has simplified the entertainment benefit available through BookMyShow.

Revised Offer

Customers can enjoy Buy One Get One Free on both movie and non-movie tickets. The structure includes four free movie tickets every month with a cap of five hundred rupees per ticket & four free non movie tickets every month with a cap of one thousand rupees per ticket

A minimum of two tickets must be booked to activate the benefit. Only one complimentary ticket can be used per day. This gives customers a clear and easy monthly entertainment benefit.

New EDGE Rewards Structure

Axis Bank has refreshed the EDGE Rewards program to increase value for domestic and international spends.

Updated Earning Rate

Four EDGE Points for every two hundred rupees spent in India
Six EDGE Points for every two hundred rupees spent outside India

Excluded Categories

Cross Currency Markup

A markup of three-point five percent plus GST will apply to all international purchases and ATM withdrawals.

Dynamic Currency Conversion Fee
