RBL Bank Introduces Three New Shoppers Stop Credit Cards: Gold, Platinum & Black

RBL Bank and Shoppers Stop have launched three new co-branded credit cards: Gold, Platinum and Black, offering customers a combination of shopping rewards, First Citizen Club memberships, welcome benefits and milestone rewards.

The new cards were launched on August 21, 2026, as part of a partnership between RBL Bank and Shoppers Stop. The three variants are designed for different levels of Shoppers Stop customers, with benefits increasing from Gold to Platinum and Black.

The cards are particularly aimed at customers who regularly spend across the Shoppers Stop ecosystem and want to earn additional rewards from their shopping.

The main difference between the three cards is the value customers receive from their Reward Points. While Gold and Platinum earn the same number of points at Shoppers Stop, Platinum offers twice the redemption value per point. Black combines a higher earning rate with the highest value per point.

RBL Bank Shoppers Stop Gold Credit Card

The RBL Bank Shoppers Stop Gold Credit Card is the entry-level variant of the new portfolio. It is designed for customers who want Shoppers Stop specific benefits at a relatively lower annual fee.

Cardholders receive complimentary First Citizen Gold Membership and earn 10 Reward Points for every ₹200 spent across the Shoppers Stop universe. Each Reward Point is valued at ₹0.25 when redeemed at Shoppers Stop.

The card also offers 4 Reward Points per ₹200 on eligible transactions outside the Shoppers Stop universe, subject to applicable monthly limits.

Gold cardholders can earn a ₹500 Shoppers Stop voucher on eligible quarterly spending of ₹1 lakh. They can also receive a ₹1,000 voucher on eligible anniversary year spending of ₹3.5 lakh.

The annual fee for the Gold card is ₹1,000 plus GST.

RBL Bank Shoppers Stop Platinum Credit Card

The RBL Bank Shoppers Stop Platinum Credit Card is positioned as the mid-tier option and offers a higher value per Reward Point than the Gold variant.

The card earns 10 Reward Points for every ₹200 spent across the Shoppers Stop universe. However, each point is worth ₹0.50 when redeemed at Shoppers Stop, compared with ₹0.25 on the Gold card.

Platinum cardholders receive complimentary First Citizen Platinum Membership. The card also includes a ₹2,000 Shoppers Stop welcome voucher, a welcome gift worth ₹2,000 and a complimentary makeover experience.

For milestone spending, customers can receive a ₹1,000 Shoppers Stop voucher on eligible quarterly spending of ₹1.5 lakh and a ₹1,500 voucher on eligible anniversary year spending of ₹5 lakh.

The annual fee is ₹5,000 plus GST.

RBL Bank Shoppers Stop Black Credit Card

The RBL Bank Shoppers Stop Black Credit Card is the premium variant and offers the highest reward potential in the portfolio.

Black cardholders earn 15 Reward Points for every ₹200 spent across the Shoppers Stop universe. Each Reward Point can be redeemed at a value of ₹1 at Shoppers Stop.

The card comes with complimentary First Citizen Black Membership, stated to be worth ₹4,500. Customers also receive a ₹3,000 Shoppers Stop welcome voucher, a welcome gift worth ₹3,000 and a complimentary makeover experience.

The milestone benefits are also higher. Cardholders can receive a ₹1,500 Shoppers Stop voucher on eligible quarterly spending of ₹2.5 lakh and a ₹2,500 voucher on eligible anniversary year spending of ₹8 lakh.

The annual fee for the Black card is ₹10,000 plus GST.

Reward Rate Comparison

The difference in Reward Point value makes the three cards quite distinct.

For every ₹200 spent at Shoppers Stop, the effective reward value works out to:

  • Gold: 10 points × ₹0.25 = ₹2.50, or 1.25%
  • Platinum: 10 points × ₹0.50 = ₹5, or 2.5%
  • Black: 15 points × ₹1 = ₹15, or 7.5%

For example, on ₹1 lakh of eligible Shoppers Stop spending, the headline reward value would be approximately ₹1,250 with Gold, ₹2,500 with Platinum and ₹7,500 with Black.

These calculations are based on the stated Reward Point earning and redemption values. Actual rewards may vary depending on applicable monthly limits, eligible transactions, exclusions and other card terms.

Gold vs Platinum vs Black: Which Card Is Better?

The choice between the three cards will largely depend on a customer's annual spending at Shoppers Stop.

  • Gold is the most affordable option and may suit customers who want basic Shoppers Stop rewards and First Citizen membership without paying a high annual fee.
  • Platinum offers a higher Reward Point value along with premium membership and additional welcome benefits. It may be suitable for regular Shoppers Stop customers who can make sufficient use of these benefits to justify the higher annual fee.
  • Black offers the strongest reward proposition, with 15 Reward Points per ₹200 and a redemption value of ₹1 per point. However, its ₹10,000 plus GST annual fee means it is primarily suited to customers with substantial Shoppers Stop spending.

RBL Bank Shoppers Stop Credit Cards: Final Verdict

The launch of the three tier RBL Bank Shoppers Stop credit card portfolio gives customers a choice based on their spending levels and preferred benefits.

The Gold card focuses on affordability, Platinum adds enhanced rewards and premium membership benefits, while Black provides the highest reward rate and the top tier First Citizen Club membership.

For frequent Shoppers Stop customers, the Black card has the strongest headline reward value. However, a higher reward rate does not automatically make it the best option for every customer. The annual fee, spending requirements, reward limits and the actual use of membership and milestone benefits should all be considered before choosing a card.

Overall, the new portfolio gives Shoppers Stop customers a clear upgrade path from Gold to Platinum and Black, with increasing rewards and privileges at each level.
